Praying Today: Prayer in Special Pastoral Situations

On Friday October 24th, the St Irenaeus Institute will organize Praying Today: Prayer in Special Pastoral Situations. This one-day symposium will explore particularly morning and evening prayer, as foundational moments in the liturgical sanctification of time. It concentrates on the role of occasional prayer services, as done in prisons, hospitals and military settings.

For Orthodox chaplains the symposium will offer the opportunity to contribute with their experience in the discussion on the topic of occasional prayer and to continue their formation in chaplaincy. Participation in the day and the completion of two assignments will earn four credits of the Stichting Kwaliteitsregister Geestelijk Verzorgers (SKGV). Further details for this course, including costs, still to follow.
