The Minors provide an introduction to Orthodox academic theology. These programmes are open to students enrolled in any bachelor programme at a Dutch university and to students enrolled in a Dutch HBO bachelor programme. The only requirement for admission is basic knowledge of the Bible. You will probably need permission from your bachelor programme to include the Minor in your studies. Because you only have to pay tuition once, following the Minor is free.<\/p>\n

The following Minor programmes are available:<\/p>\n

Minor 1<\/strong>\u00a0(30 ECTS): equals the first year of the\u00a0Pre-Master<\/a>\u00a0programme.<\/p>\n

Minor 2<\/strong> (15 ECTS): Orthodox History I, Orthodox Scripture and one other course from the first year of the Pre-Master.<\/p>\n

It is also possible to follow more courses, if the exam board of the main institution gives its permission.<\/p>\n

The programme is offered in the innovative \u2018blended learning\u2019 format, combining online learning and physical meetings at the \u2018intensives\u2019. At the end of both semesters, during a two-day intensive, students present their papers on two different subjects in a so-called \u2018flipped classroom\u2019. Following the intensive, students have a few more weeks in which to complete the course. The teaching\u00a0staff<\/a>\u00a0consists of: Fr John Behr, Fr Michael Bakker, Fr Joan Lena and guest lecturers.<\/p>\n

We follow the academic calender of Radboud University, which can be found on the university website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Students are studying alongside\u00a0Pre-Master<\/a>\u00a0students, whose programme coincides during the first year with the Minor programme.<\/p>\n
